Have you clearly communicated your business vision to your staff? Dallas Seminary professor Howard Hendricks offers this simple definition of leadership: "Look behind you. If no one is following, you're not leading, you're just taking a walk." As business owners and managers, if we have failed to adequately communicate our corporate vision to our staff, we should not be surprised when they don't follow our lead. Are you leading your company, or just
taking a walk? Do you have a well-conceived
vision that is in writing and clearly communicated
to each individual in the organization?
Managers must accept the responsibility
for ensuring that every team member When the entire team embraces a vision, they will begin to run with greater enthusiasm, unity, effectiveness, and purpose. Service will improve, customers will soon notice the increased energy and focus of your staff, and sales and profits will increase. Teach a righteous man, and he will Increase his learning (Proverbs 9:9). Scripture: Then the LORD answered me and said, "Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run" (Habakkuk 2:2).
