Are you looking in the right places for new business? No one would plow solid rock in order to plant crops. Instead, you would look for a field that already has rich, fertile soil. When seeking to increase your business, apply the same principle: Work the fertile ground. Often the best place to plant new seeds is with your current customers, because the hard work of tilling the soil has already been done. Your customers will appreciate the personal attention, and you will earn their loyalty. Ask repeat buyers what you can do to earn even more of their business. When you work the fertile ground of your current customers, your sales will increase and your business will grow.
