How do you react when employees make mistakes out of ignorance? In Acts 3, Peter addresses a crowd that has gathered in amazement at the healing of the lame beggar. First, he acknowledges that the people are ignorant of the truth about Jesus Christ, and then he proceeds to teach them about repentance and salvation. When mistakes occur in your business,
give the other person the benefit of the
doubt. If the error was made in ignorance,
handle the situation calmly. Venting your Clarify the circumstances, explain the
results of the error, and teach the employee
how to avoid the problem the next time a similar situation
arises. If possible, allow the person to redo the work and If you treat mistakes as learning opportunities, your staff will grow and become more productive.
