When major problems hit your business, are you direct with your staff?

When adversity strikes your business, be open and honest with your staff. Explain the situation and communicate your resolve to find a solution—together. After all, it's not just you or the company that is suffering.

Outline the problem in a way that everyone can understand and discuss possible solutions. Solicit
input and ideas from others, and ask each member of your staff for help. Clarify roles and responsibilities in the recovery effort, and emphasize the importance ofcommunication and teamwork.

When everyone understands the problem—and
what they can do to help—they will be able to pitch in and work together to fix the mess. If you're open and honest about the problem, you'll be amazed at the teamwork and camaraderie that results.

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for
adversity (Proverbs 17:17).

Scripture: Then I said to them, "You see the bad situation we are in" (Nehemiah 2:17).
